Jana Sovilj

In 2022, Jana graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. She then enrolled in the Joint Nordic Master’s Programme in Environmental Law, studying at universities in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. She completed her master’s studies with a thesis titled ‘Bioenergy at the Intersection of the EU’s Legal Frameworks for Biodiversity and Energy and Climate Change: Are Forests Protected?’, earning the titles of Master of Legal Science (UU), Master of International and Comparative Law (UEF), and Master of Laws (UiT).

After completing her master’s degree, she completed a professional internship at the law firm Vyskočil, Krošlák a partneři in Prague, after which she joined VP Law Firm, with whom she has been collaborating since 2022.

She is actively engaged in environmental law, serving as a legal advisor at the Regional Centre for Environmental Law (RCEL) and participating in environmental protection initiatives. She is also a board member of the Sweden Alumni Network in Serbia under the Swedish Institute.
