New Regulation on the Customs Tariff for 2025 Entered Into Force on June 1

The Government of the Republic of Serbia, at its session held on May 15, 2025, adopted a new Regulation on the Harmonization of the Customs Tariff Nomenclature for 2025 (CT2025). This regulation aligns the domestic nomenclature with the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union for 2025, with implementation starting on June 1, 2025.
The main reason for adopting the new regulation is the entry into force of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates (Agreement with the UAE), which was signed in October 2024 in Belgrade and ratified in March 2025. The Agreement enters into force on June 1, 2025.

The new regulation includes:

  • Preferential customs rates provided by the Agreement with the UAE;
  • Changes in tariff codes and quotas in accordance with the Agreement;
  • Technical corrections in the text and translation in accordance with the EU nomenclature.

This regulation replaces the previous version of the Customs Tariff for 2025 (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 100/2024) and begins to apply on the eighth day from the day of publication in the ‘Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia’, with validity starting from June 1.
